This custom design captures the raw character of the brand while offering a lower-impact alternative to conventional packaging.

When it came to creating the packaging for Jägermeister’s premium Manifest edition, the goal was clear: push boundaries, both visually and technically. The result is an eco-friendly packaging concept that’s as defiant and expressive as the spirit it carries.
A packaging statement for a bold brand
Jägermeister Manifest isn’t just a liqueur, it’s a statement. Crafted with extra intensity and rooted in a rebellious legacy, it demanded a packaging concept that would echo its unapologetic identity. Together with the brand’s creative team, PaperFoam developed a design that feels raw, masculine and deliberately unconventional.
The dark-toned, bottle-shaped packaging challenges assumptions about sustainable materials. With its weathered texture, precise contours and integrated handle, it captures the same edge and attitude that defines the Manifest product line.
Design challenges that became design features
From the start, structural integrity and tactile expression were key. The design needed to house a glass bottle securely while leaving a strong visual impression, even before the unboxing begins. We engineered a form-fitting inner cavity for stability, added bold embossing, and ensured the entire structure could be opened and closed without extra materials.
The handle, striking among PaperFoam® designs, was built directly into the structure. It adds functionality and reinforces the industrial, tool-like aesthetic. Every detail, from the cut-outs to the matte surface, was intentional.
Where sustainability meets edge
Despite its rough appearance, this packaging is lightweight, low-impact and fully compostable. Made with renewable materials and produced using minimal energy, it reflects Jägermeister’s commitment to responsible innovation — without compromising brand identity. It proves that sustainable packaging doesn’t have to be soft-spoken. It can be bold, disruptive and unmistakably premium.
