PaperFoam® had the pleasure of designing a custom insert for Waterdrop®’s holiday advent calendar: a solution that combines seasonal sparkle with serious sustainability. With a clear brief and high visual standards, this project challenged us to balance protection, precision and presentation in one elegant tray.

Waterdrop® is all about encouraging people to drink more water, more sustainably. With its innovative microdrinks – dissolvable cubes that infuse water with flavor, vitamins and plant extracts – the brand is rewriting the rules of hydration. Their packaging is equally thoughtful: eye-catching, purposeful and always pushing toward greener alternatives.
Designed for joy, built for impact
For the advent calendar, aesthetics were key. The PaperFoam® tray had to match the colorful, whimsical outer sleeve while keeping each microdrink perfectly in place. Precision-molded compartments prevent movement during transport, protect the cubes, and elevate the unboxing moment. All without plastic.
Light, strong, and easy to recycle
Made from our signature bio-based material, the insert is fully home compostable and curbside recyclable. It’s ultra-lightweight yet durable, helping Waterdrop® reduce carbon emissions without compromising on product safety or visual appeal. No glue, no extra parts, just a clean fit with a premium feel.
