Following the recent expansion of our worldwide production facilities, PaperFoam is able to diversify and increase its product suite while vastly cutting leadtimes. This is a major step towards the growing demand for Carbon Friendly CD and DVD packaging.
Following the recent expansion of our worldwide production facilities, PaperFoam is able to diversify and increase its product suite while vastly cutting leadtimes. This is a major step towards the growing demand for Carbon Friendly CD and DVD packaging. Both the 1st-generation cost-efficient “T-hub”-trays, as well as the 2nd-generation auto-loadable “S-hub”-trays are available. As the Carbon Emission of a PaperFoam case is only 10% of that of the jewel case, offsetting the total carbon footprint of your CD or DVD comes within economical reach.

After the successful introduction of the 1st generation “T-hub”-trays in 2006, PaperFoam continued to develop its CD and DVD tray offering by launching the 2nd generation “S-hub”-trays in Q3 2007. The recent production expansion enables us to meet the demand for both generations CD and DVD trays. The current product suite of CD and DVD trays enables us to customise our offering to your needs: from a Carbon Friendly and cost-efficient tray, to one onto which discs can be fully automatically loaded.
PaperFoam tray as leading alternative to plastic
Success factors of the PaperFoam tray are the similar look-and-feel as the standard jewel case, and the awareness of the retail- and entertainment-industry to reduce carbon footprint. While PaperFoam trays are compatible with existing equipment, the trays are carbon friendly (~ 90% less CO2 vs jewel case), biodegradable, and 100% paper-recyclable. PaperFoam is available in many different colours, and weighs 50% less than plastic trays (savings on transport and postage). The 2nd generation trays include automated disc-loading capabilities (cutting costs up to 50%) and more durability and flexibility.

The PaperFoam tray is used by the leading labels in the entertainment industry. Universal Music is using PaperFoam to package the over 120 titles of its Millennium Collection, its 30 titles of the #1 Series, and for its 40+ titles in the “Best Of” series. Sony BMG has chosen PaperFoam for its Carbon Neutral Entertainment series consisting of 20+ titles, while EMI has selected PaperFoam for the latest KT Tunstall CD/DVD “Drastic Fantastic”.
